4DX is an awesome way to see an action or sci-fi movie! It’s like being on a ride at Universal Studios for two hours! A bit pricey at almost $30 a ticket but worth it for a specific flick. Definitely a way to do a dinner and movie night with some friends. You’ll be laughing the whole time.

Thanks to Yelp we were able to experience Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 on 4DX as part of a Yelp Elite event and was blown away by how much fun it was. Free popcorn and soda was also a nice perk! At times I did see someone’s popcorn go flying here and there. Bouncy Bouncy!

Lightning, Motion, Scents, Vibration, Water, Rain, Fog, Wind. You really feel as if you are in the movie and part of it. If seeing a movie in 4DX be prepared to be poked, prodded, jostled, surround-sounded, misted, scented, and flown around. It’s like being on a simulated ride roller coaster at a theme park. If you have motion sickness, pregnant, or can’t deal with strobe lights or being jerked around a bit think twice about attending this kind of presentation.

Otherwise, grab your popcorn, your soda, your pants, and hold on for dear life! We were laughing through the whole movie. Not only because Guardians is such a fun flick, but because as a Marvel movie with all kinds of battle scenes, fights, flights and explosions, the 4DX worked great!

The screen was in super sharp 3D, and the seats were new, large, and comfy. You can even control if you want the water effects on or off. There are also foot rests, and air effects blow at you from behind. The technology here is so cool. You are really immersed in the movie experience.

Just a perfect movie to check out 4DX for the first time. The Regal Cinemas E-Walk 13 & RPX is a clean modern theater, and a friendly staff was on hand the night of this viewing. The concession area is really nice and has been updated. They also feature those nifty new soda machines at which you can choose all kinds of beverage and flavor combinations. So sweet! Not one complaint from this jaded New Yorker.  That was a blast! Would definitely pay to experience this for a future flick. Considering the cost to see a movie in NYC in 3D or on the IMAX this is worth the extra few dollars.
