There can be only one Brisket King of NYC!

Brisket King Returns March 16, 2015! Hail to the King baby!

There is nothing more I love to eat than some tasty meat. Now that we are in the dead of winter here in the Northeast and there is a lack of outdoor meaty BBQ activities I’m hankering for a few slabs of smoky beefy goodness. Well, it just so happens that the day before all things green arrives – green beer, green food, green outfits, and drunk leprechauns with St Paddy’s Day here in NYC  – we are being treated with all things BRISKET!

Brisket King returns for a third year to a larger venue! Where else to crown the King of Brisket than in Kings County? That’s right, they are heading for Brooklyn (Fort Greene) where 20+ chefs will compete for the glory of beef! Lip smacking, finger licking, juicy, melt in your mouth brisket!

Anticipated chefs/restaurants to be present (subject to change):

  • Chef Paul Denamiel
  • Mok Bar
  • Billy Durney of Hometown BBQ
  • Chef Brian Perrone of Slows (Detroit)
  • Morgan’s BBQ
  • Dinosaur BBQ
  • Ben’s Best Deli (Rego Park, Queens)
  • Katz’s Deli
  • Jay and Lloyd’s (Sheepshead Bay)
  • Kimchi Smoke/Robert Cho
  • Fletcher’s Brooklyn BBQ
  • Chef Jesse Jones
  • East Village Meat Market
  • Tchoup Shop’s Simon Glenn
  • Smoke Joint/Marietta’s Hill Country BBQ
  • The Wandering Que

In addition, on hand will be 15+ distilleries curated by Modern Distillery Age (Brisket King may be the signature event of a TBA NYC Spirits Week! Oh My!). They will have both people’s choice and judges awards (special guest judges to include author Stevie Pierson (The Brisket Book). Plus craft beer selections to be announced soon!

  1. Oh my gosh!! My mouth is watering after reading this. I love brisket so much. There’s a little place that makes the most amazing brisket tacos with egg, cheese and potato on tortilla that I get on way to church every sunday morning. ahhhhh!!
    Come to Texas again.
