This place is the work of the Devil I say!
The desserts here cast a spell on your soul.
They make you want to come back and try all of them against your wishes. The temptation is such, and the lure of Spot Dessert Bar in NYC is all too real.
Located on St Marks Place it’s below ground in the Devil’s lair. Usually, it seems so crowded and busy that you have to wait in line. The night we arrived to worship the ice cream delicacies at this altar of dessert treachery we had to wait for a bit until a table opened up. It was certainly worth the wait as the cold concoctions here are both ridiculously creative and tasty. They are also represented by eclectic fun names. Prices seemed ok for these kinds of tasty cold treats. This surely ain’t no Mr Softee cone off the truck!
Service was friendly enough and our order came out quickly. Gotta go with the three dessert option for $27. Perfect for a couple to mix and match and share.
The Cookie Camp – it is a cookie baked in a mini camp skillet along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped off with hot fudge. Oh My! The fudge is poured over the ice cream when it arrives and seems so decadent, but oh so simple. There are also mini pretzels involved. Devoured within minutes!
The Harvest– layers of berries, soft cheesecake, meringue kisses, raspberry sorbet, and black rose milk tea. Just the fact that it is served in a small flower pot we had to order it!
Chocolate Green Tea Lava Cake – warm dark chocolate cake filled with green tea ganache, and green tea ice cream. This was a no-brainer as it’s one of their signature desserts. Who doesn’t love warm chocolate and ice cream?
They even hand you Satan’s loyalty card on the way out so you are lured back in to eat more.
So evil. So very evil.

On. Mah. Gah. I want to go to this place. NOW. But then I would need to do 24 hours straight up Zumba in order to work off these mega calories!
Isn’t there some sort of rule that says if you’re eating these kinds of desserts with a room full of people that the calories don’t exist? 🙂
