Here we are at another Easter and Spring is in the air! Enjoy the start of a new season and rejoice with the consumption of chocolate bunnies and marshmallow Peeps!
Of course we all know that the Easter Bunny is not real, right?
Wait! What are you talking about? No such thing as the Easter Bunny? Blasphemy!!!
But look at me! I’m great with children! Just look at how photogenic I am.
There’s nothing to fear! Well, nothing that years of therapy wouldn’t cure.
Aren’t I soft and cute looking? Invite me into your home. Let’s cuddle.
Peeps always seem to appear and multiply around Easter.
But during the off season they have other ways of keeping occupied.
Along with those hollow chocolate bunnies that we all eat the ears and tails off of first.
Some people do like them more than others. I do prefer the chocolate ones over the white ones.
Did we ever really find all the eggs in an Easter egg hunt?
What is up with coloring hard boiled eggs? My fingers look like a box of crayons for days.
Some kids do catch on at a young age and want to opt out of this craziness.
Can there really be some truth behind the myth? What if good old Peter Cottontail was real?
Boy, that would be a scary image to see!
And there are those who take the holiday a bit too seriously! (run dude, run! )
Either way, have a Happy Easter for those of you who observe the holiday.
Anda make sure you boil de eggs!
I can’t stand peeps! I do like the ears off the Easter bunnies though, they are the best part 🙂 Happy Easter!
Hi Frugal!
I kinda like Peeps bit can only eat a few. My fam shipped us an Easter basket full of chocolates. There goes my diet again!
Happy Easter! 🙂
Love the stripper pole bunnies!
Hey Lanthie!
Yeah, I had to swipe that pic for this post! I actually have some here to eat later!
Great post! I love All the pics. I live in a small town on the Texas Gulf Coast, not many children in the Rockport community, and HEB still has Peeps. I am, thanks to you, going to make me a Peeps Martini today. Happy Easter!
Hey Pam!
Glad you like it! I have family in San Antonio. I sure know the HEB. Great supermarket and they carry a delish coffee called Taste of San Antonio.
Now go and enjoy that Peep Martini! Happy Easter! 🙂
Your blog is really, really great!
Thanks Pam! I appreciate that! 🙂
Too cute! Love the pics!
My baby is almost 13 now and she thinks she’s too big to color eggs this year. This was the first year that I didn’t get to color eggs with her. 🙁 But this post made me smile. Thanks Phil! xo
Hey Bonnie!
Glad you like the new post!
Sorry to hear that daughter is bailing out on egg coloring. My nieces are also getting too old for this stuff. They would rather play video games now.
Happy I put a smile on your face! 🙂
The Peeps statistics are SO true. hahaha I got them in my Easter basket every year as a kid and I can’t say I ever really ate them.

Hey Jules!
I got them in a Easter basket my fam sent over yesterday! I’ll eat them and then feel a beetus attack come on! 🙂
Happy Easter!
Hello,
Thank you for this post, it really made me chuckle. I particularly love grumpy cat. I will be visiting NYC for the first time in August (I hail from Scotland, UK) so I will be a regular reader of your blog to prep myself for my visit. I found your blog through BBN. Have a great day! x
Hello Lauren!
Thanks for dropping by my blog!
Yes, Grumpy Cat rules. Hope you have a great trip here in NYC! Thanks for connecting and following my blog through BBN. When you get here check out my Yelp page as I have all kinds of lists of things to see and places to eat. I’ll be updating this blog with more as the months go on – it’s only around five months old!
I’ll check out your blog too!
I am crying….literally tears….the Easter Bunny has always scared the shit out of me, so this is just perfect!!
Hi Lisa!
So glad I made you laugh and cry at the same time. I seem to have that effect over women. Is that a good opr bad thing? 🙂
Would you believe I had never heard of Peeps until I read this!
Hope you have had a lovely Easter weekend.
Kate x
What? You never heard of the sugar insanity of Peeps?
Oh Kate, you don’t know what you are missing! 😉
Hope you also had a goof holiday weekend!
LOL! Have a great Easter. 🙂
Hope you also had a great Easter! 🙂
OMGosh.. I love Father Guido! lol And those are some freakin’ scary Easter bunnies! lol Hope you had a great one!
Hello Tree!
Hope you had a great Easter! Father Guido was the best. These were tame as there are some creepy looking bunnies on the net!
Now that was a trip and a half……..! Super-creepy some of them!
Hey Helena!
Thanks so much for reading my blog! Glad you liked my creepy bunny post! 🙂
I appreciate the comment!
I missed dying eggs this year! Someone in my family has to have kids. Easter is just boring now.
Hey Jill!
Looks like it’s up to you! Get to work and pop out five or six! You might even have the next Honey Boo Boo!
Oh good grief!
Thank goodness we have no peeps over here 😀
Hey Lizzi!
I love Peeps – but only the Yellow ones! The rest are freaks.
Just give me the Cadbury creme eggs and I’m a happy girl. Peeps are nasty as all hell. And as for that damn bunny? He’s scary. The jackrabbits in the Vegas area are so much more adorable.
Hey Kim!
The Easter Bunny was always kind of creepy to me. Especially those in the big costumes. Now, a Playboy bunny is a different story! 🙂
The pic. with the bunny pole dancing. Ha! Ha! Brown chocolate for me. Cadbury cream eggs for John. Blechh!
Hey Shelley!
That picture still makes me laugh! I’m a dark chocolate guy myself. I hate those creme eggs too!
Some disturbing images there, Phil – sights that nightmares are made of. I find it interesting that many of the fictional characters developed to entertain children tend to be menacing and spooky – Santa, Easter bunny, clowns , the wicked witch in The Wizard of Oz, the queen in Snow White etc.
Hey Gary!
I hope you sleep well at night! Just keep picturing the guys in the blue bunny outfits in bed with you. Remember, bunnies do like to multiply!
Disturbing bunnies Phil. Very disturbing and what kind of fellow nibbles the Easter bunny in the bum. Personally, I always start with the ears so that they can’t hear my gulping LOL!
Hey Victoria!
So sorry I did not reply to this last year. Just going through some old posts and saw this. Creepy Easter Bunny pics never get old!
You can say that again LOL. And clowns. Hate ’em!
