Some days you just crave a big, huge, thick, and creamy burrito to shove into your mouth. The kind that leaves you panting, coated in sweat, with drool rolling down your chin. The kind that leaves you wanting for more.
A sandwich almost as good as an afternoon sex session that you don’t want to end, but you know that you have to get back to work after slipping out for a little afternoon delight!
Such is the allure of Bite located in the Gramercy part of NYC. Small funky sandwich nook that offers up big flavors. Dropped in for lunch one sunny Fall day and fell in love with this place instantly. Nice amount of sandwich options, soups, combos, hummus, panini’s, salads, bruschetta, and Mediterranean tinged delights. Friendly guy behind the counter took my order, told me to take a seat, and he would bring it over when ready.
I ordered a soup and sandwich. Sitting at a table in front with the windows opened up wide it made for a comforting warm meal with a nice cool breeze blowing in. The soup was terrific. Nice sized bowl of hot mixed vegetables and bread on the side. The sandwich was just awesome. The Exotic Tuna with curry, golden raisins, red cabbage, baby carrots, organic greens and plum tomatoes on whole grain bread. The tuna was just delicious, and the bread was firm, crispy, and covered with seeds. Love soft as an easy chair….. Continue reading You can Bite me anytime in NYC!→
Blows crappy Pinkberry out of the water! I make no bones that I hate Pinkberry and the wannabe trendoids that gather at the Upper East Side NYC location to eat this sour tasting dreck. Seems like it’s a combination of the baby carriage crowd and skinny girls coming in after the gym. I’ve tried it a few times just to make sure and I still prefer 16 Handles over this stuff. So many more flavors and toppings to experiment with. They win my taste buds hands down. Plus, to me, it’s a more fun spot to dive into a cold treat!
Walking by at night you can’t miss 16 Handles – bright and spacious with lots of seating. It almost invites you to come inside. Cool green, white, and faux wood interior. Kind of very modern and space age looking as if the Jetsons would eat here. Even a big flat screen with sports on it. Sure, on the weekends it can get packed with gangs of teenagers, but during the week it’s a mellow crowd in here enjoying their cups of frozen comfort.Continue reading 16 Handles – a tasty cold treat during hot sweaty NYC summer.→
While I was recently walking around my hood on the Upper East Side during a cold blustery day this hot box came out of nowhere and lured me in to take a few bites of her warm delights! She heated me up for sure, and her box was quite tasty, which already made me look forward to our next encounter! What a seductress she was!
Shoga is a relatively newer sushi restaurant that opened up a few blocks from where I live, and she is quite sexy. Upscale sushi bar decor, glowing colorful lighting, waterfall cascading down the front window, clean bathroom, and very friendly service. Terrific ambiance, reasonable prices, a diverse menu, lunch specials, along with a full bar and drink specials too! She is hard to resist and from first bite she had me hooked.
