One of the few eating establishments in the NYC area that can be truly considered a “panty dropper”. Seriously, if you want to score some serious “smush time” points make sure you take your date to Traif to wine and dine her or him. After an amazing meal here if you can’t “get some” then you would have a hard time scoring in a whorehouse with a fist full of hundreds.
It has been a while since we dined at this wonderful restaurant but I just realized I never reviewed it, so here we are reminiscing over a terrific meal that was truly orgasmic!
What I remember most is, um, let me think…….EVERYTHING!!! Continue reading Traif – a true Panty Dropper meal in Brooklyn, NYC!
Overall, New Yorkers can be a most cynical and demanding bunch. We seem to know it all, and feel that we must have an opinion on everything. Maybe even over-privileged to a point. This can be very true especially when it comes to our Jewish deli’s. We compare each and every one to each other – Katz, Carnegie, Ben’s, Stage, Artie’s, etc. Sometimes it is fair to compare, and sometimes it’s like trying to decipher the meaning of life. I decided recently to walk in here with an open mind and high spirits to just enjoy a good deli meal without comparing it to the others I have experienced.
This new location of 2nd Ave Deli is actually located on 1st Ave where an old restaurant used to sit by 75th street. It’s definitely an upgrade to the neighborhood and a nice addition. The layout has the same kind of look and feel as it’s Murray Hill location with the awkward entrance way and tight seating setup. You almost have to be like a Cirque Du Soleil contortionist to squeeze into a table without disturbing the other diners around you. Still, these are all minor nuances that don’t mean all that much to me when going to a place to sit down and feast on a guilty pleasure meal. UNLIMITED SANGRIA BRUNCH FOR $20. YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
Was I pretty hammered after this meal? YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
Only twenty bucks. Twenty dineros. Twenty bills. Twenty dollars. A Jackson. Well, you get my drift. Living on the UES close to Spanish Harlem we are blessed with some pretty delectable Latin inspired restaurants within a short walk or subway ride. We had been meaning to go to Don Pedro’s for quite a while now and finally had a recent Sunday open to try it for it’s amazing brunch deal. Well, now that I am sober and recovered enough to shake the cobwebs out of my head this morning I can fully appreciate the wonderful dining experience we had here. I was one of the many lamenting the long dreary winter not too long ago. Until after this past weekend on June 1 when the environment decided to smack us all in the face here in NYC with a wall of hot humid muggy air and humidity. Then the skies opened up and drenched us all. Ugh. Talk about total suckage! Now, I know there are many out there that love the hot weather and absolutely hate the winter season as it’s cold and unforgivably seems to last forever here in the Northeast. Personally, I enjoy the cold air and don’t think we have been hit too hard with many bad winters these past bunch of years. Most have been quite mild actually with few real snowfalls of any accumulation to make much of a difference. Yet, there are many that whine and complain all winter long. They relish the feel of 90 degree hot sticky days and all the sweatiness that accompanies it.
Not me! I don’t know about you but to me there is no enjoyment of having SWAMP ASS! Continue reading Hey NYC – Here comes the Swamp Ass!
