Holy sugar bomb Batman! Doughnuts! What more can I say that has not been said about Doughnut Plant? They make ridiculously delicious donuts. I was at this newer location located at the Hotel Chelsea in NYC not too long ago. Pretty much right after my serious Summer training and eating light ended, so yeah, I splurged in a big way with no guilt!
This one is definitely set up more like a cafe over their other location on the Lower East Side. Much more space with tables and chairs. Some artwork on the walls with lots of color and giant doughnut pillows adorning them. More of a trendy looking spot as I guess they are catering to the Chelsea Hotel clientele a bit. Malaysian food, hmmmm. I’m not really sure what Malaysian food is as I assume it’s a combo of many different styles, cultures, and cuisines. I ain’t no Asian persuasion, but we had no problem enjoying our meal here over the weekend after trying it out the first time. We dug right in and ordered up some delicacies of the land. I’ll attest to it being pretty darn delicious!
Malaysia Grill is one of those no-nonsense little Asian spots that pump out some pretty tasty food. Just a small spot with the all too familiar cookie cutter Asian restaurant look, but clean and cozy. As soon as we sat down I ordered a Singha beer and looked over the large menu of food choices. Seemed like a heavily Chinese food influenced menu with a mix of Indian, Thai, and Pan-Island influence. South east Asian maybe?
