Sometimes you just have to follow the leader.
My boss at work suggested we hit up a food truck for lunch. Close by where I work in the Financial District the trucks are lined up fast and furious jockeying for position to lure in the
hungry hangry lunch crowd. We were eyeing a few, and Luckyim Thai was right in front of us.
It’s a tough choice as there are a bunch, but he said the Thai at this small cart was pretty solid. Judging by the line waiting at this cart he was surely correct! Placed our orders, waited about 15 minutes, got our food and headed back to the office. Continue reading Lunch on Wheels! Luckyim Thai Food Truck in NYC.
Some of the best falafel I have had in NYC!
This was such a memorable meal that I had to give it some love here on the blog. It’s been months since we visited this little slice of deliciousness after a 5K running event in Prospect Park on a sweltering humid night in Brooklyn. We discovered this eatery because we just wanted somewhere to eat dinner in some cool AC! Continue reading Kulushkat! Just Shut Up and Eat!

I only come here on Monday nights. In fact, I travel across town to come here for dinner on Monday nights. As we all know, travelling crosstown in NYC is usually is an exercise in frustration. So there has to be a good reason. Continue reading Sizzlin’ Fajita Monday in NYC
Wonderful food and service up in El Barrio, NYC!
Delicious guacamole, and the salmon special on a bed of plantains was just perfect. I scarfed it all down while enjoying a damn fine Mojito. My taste buds were singing. My belly was happy. My gluttonous desires were completely satisfied.
My gal totally gushed over the chicken mole. That mole sauce was righteous! Oh, and they don’t skimp on the portions. You go home full after a meal here with a food baby in tow.
We walked in on a weekday evening while exploring a bit of Spanish Harlem and found an empty restaurant, but decided to give it a try. So happy we did as I was in the mood for some cocktails and authentic Latin eats. Cascalote Latin Bistro did not disappoint. Continue reading Guac! Mole! Cascalote Latin Bistro in El Barrio, NYC!
