I ABSOLUTELY fell in love with this place when celebrating a birthday dinner the first time we were here!
Sure, it’s not for everyone as it’s loud, crazy packed, the music is pumpin’, and the regulars up here look like a stereotype of every 1970’s Huggy Bear pimp caricature or modern day rap video guy and gal. The men are crowding the bar up front sporting their best fur coats while checking out the fine ladies dressed to the nines in their best leopard wear and incredibly high heels and hair extensions. The music is loud with jammin’ tunes that went everywhere from 80’s freestyle, to smooth r&b, to Biggie and Tupac, then to current rap hits, and back to old school Sugar Hill Gang and KRS-One. You can’t help but move to the great music and want to dance when eating dinner here. Ricardo’s is an epic scene that you get sucked into, and happy to go along for the delicious ride!
Definitely not a steakhouse to take mom and dad to when they are in town! Continue reading Ricardo Steak House in Harlem NYC – a party every night!
First things first – Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Time to engorge ourselves on turkey, stuffing, pie, and pass out in a trytophan food coma! For those of you who are vegan, well then, stuff yourselves silly on tofu turkey. Even if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving then feast anyway. It’s all good! All I know is that I am gonna stuff myself silly on bird and pie!

I love my coffee. I am a caffeine whore and not ashamed to admit it. Yet, I am not one of those coffee snobs that refuse to enjoy a spot of tea now and then. I am an equal opportunity caffeine jolt addict. I do like many types of teas, and there is nothing better than experiencing a high tea with your choice of scones, sandwiches, desserts, and assorted tea flavors. Mmmm……stick a pot of tea in front of me with some biscuits and clotted cream. Orgasmic bliss. A caffeinated food coma bliss, but happy nonetheless. That is why I wear sweatpants when hitting up a tea house. Don’t judge! Guys like me need room to breathe. Continue reading A spot of tea with Lipton K-Cups Review and Giveaway!

The Frying Pan is a terrific place to kill an afternoon and evening partying on the Hudson. The views are spectacular – the Hudson, boats, kayakers, skyline lit up at night, the setting sun, and even New Jersey looks good! The crowd is diverse and you can find all types on board – young, old, tourists, city folk, hot guys and gals – whatever floats your boat. Continue reading Ahoy Matey! Partying on NYC’s Frying Pan.
