Me? A wifi hog? Oink!

 

Now, as one to always denigrate those around me that use public areas sorely for their free wifi needs I never thought of myself as one of their brood. That is until recently when I had some free time to myself and decided to bring my computer to a local cafe for some coffee.

Looking around you know the types that frequent these places – students, home workers, Facebook fiends, bloggers, and wifi hogs among others. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE NOWADAYS? IS CHIVALRY AND COMMON COURTESY A BYGONE THING?

Is it just me or am I noticing such a total lack of respect from not just younger kids nowadays, but also grown adults? Now, I don’t want to sound like an old fart complaining about the younger generation, or a self-righteous ass thinking the worst of every grown person around me, but it is really concerning to me what is wrong with people that they can’t even be considerate to each other anymore. I travel a lot and this is not just a NYC thing – it’s everywhere.
