Hellz yeah! I am so stoked to have stumbled upon this Fuel Grill & Juice Bar location recently after a night hanging out in the Hells Kitchen NYC area. After some bar hopping and debauchery I needed a fix of BRO-TEIN to replentish my depleted massiveness BRAH!

It’s Thanksgiving in NYC. Turkey time! Come at me bro!

Here we are at another Thanksgiving holiday. Travel nightmares. Family follies. Stuffing ourselves to the point of gastronomic failure. Waistlines pushing maximum expansion. Then usually passing out on the couch for a while in a tryptophanic turkey coma until the aroma of fresh coffee and pumpkin pie is in the air. Hey now, no matter how full we are there’s always room for dessert! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays mainly because I get to feast and engorge myself on delicious food prepared by relatives who can cook their asses off. No Shake N Bake chicken here, just real down home comfort food and stuffing galore. I will admit to a guilty pleasure during this meal – canned cranberry sauce! I can’t help myself, as I love it. The shape of the can it plops out as. You can slice it. It’s gelatinous wiggle. It’s not as sour as fresh cranberry sauce. Drool.

Hey, don’t judge me! We all have our shameful little fetishes. Continue reading It’s Thanksgiving in NYC. Turkey time! Come at me bro!

A Big Ass Man Cave Bar Opens Up In Murray Hill NYC!

BottomzupInterior

Recently I had the pleasure of being invited to a pre-grand opening night at the new Bottomzup Bar and Grill located in the Murray Hill/Kips Bay area of Manhattan. Being that this part of town is also known as “Bro Hill” because of all the frat bars in the area I did not know what to think of another bar opening up along 3rd Avenue in the 20’s. Well, when I walked in my mind was blown! All I could see were flat screens as far as the eye could see. 45 sixty inch flat screens! Stadium-like sound system. Photos and pictures of famous athletes, teams, and sports shots placed floor to ceiling. A sushi and raw bar. In a sports bar! Full bar area with their own specialty cocktails, drink specials, and plenty of seating. 14 beers on tap and even more in bottles. Super friendly and attentive staff. No matter where you sat there was a birds eye view of any game you wanted to see. This is the ultimate football and sports watchers bar!

As a guy that has followed New York sports my whole life, and as a sports fan in general, I can truly appreciate the attention to detail and planning that went into a bar such as this. There is so much to look at here! Along with plenty to eat and drink. Continue reading A Big Ass Man Cave Bar Opens Up In Murray Hill NYC!

American craft beer extravaganza on the UES of NYC!

American Craft Beer Extravaganza! So much beer to choose from and so little time to drink them all!

One does not simply walk into the Pony Bar expecting to order an imported beer. Well, actually, they just don’t have any here. American beers all the way baby! It was quite fitting to down a few here not too long ago on the 4th of July.

This new outpost of beer love is a terrific addition to the UES neighborhood we reside at in NYC and has already become a hot spot. With over 20 rotating beers on tap there is more than enough diversity for everyone’s palate. Ciders and cask beers too. All of the beers are a ridiculously affordable $6 each. Yes, all of them! It’s cray cray! So while the frat boys were downing $8 Heinekens and lame Bud Lights at the many bars in the area I was enjoying some mighty tasty craft beers here. Empire, Smuttynose, Dale’s, Ommegang, Boulder, Barrier, Kona, Coney Island, Southampton, and Abita are just a few that we happily imbibed.
