Christmas has come and gone once again. It wasn’t too bad this year, and no one was injured during the family get together. No blood was spilled or limbs torn off. That’s a plus I guess. When it was over we were able to escape into the darkness of the evening, and head home to the pure bliss of silence while sitting on the couch with a bottle of wine. Now, don’t get me wrong as I really do hate tolerate  want to deport love my family members.

Yes, Christmas brings out the best and worst in families. Surviving the holidays is the ultimate in ecstasy. It’s exhausting, and leaves you lying in a puddle of sweat while panting and out of breath. Like sex but more satisfying! Yet, it seems like it takes way more work to get to the end. Satisfying or not. Is the effort worth it? Continue reading Christmastime Calamity and the Essence of Ecstasy!

It’s Thanksgiving in NYC. Turkey time! Come at me bro!

Here we are at another Thanksgiving holiday. Travel nightmares. Family follies. Stuffing ourselves to the point of gastronomic failure. Waistlines pushing maximum expansion. Then usually passing out on the couch for a while in a tryptophanic turkey coma until the aroma of fresh coffee and pumpkin pie is in the air. Hey now, no matter how full we are there’s always room for dessert! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays mainly because I get to feast and engorge myself on delicious food prepared by relatives who can cook their asses off. No Shake N Bake chicken here, just real down home comfort food and stuffing galore. I will admit to a guilty pleasure during this meal – canned cranberry sauce! I can’t help myself, as I love it. The shape of the can it plops out as. You can slice it. It’s gelatinous wiggle. It’s not as sour as fresh cranberry sauce. Drool.

Hey, don’t judge me! We all have our shameful little fetishes. Continue reading It’s Thanksgiving in NYC. Turkey time! Come at me bro!

Black Friday, Cyber Monday, White Peeps? Bah! Humbug!

Now that we are firmly past Thanksgiving and heading fast towards Christmas I really have to breathe a sigh of relief that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are done and finished. I am not a fan of either. No way in heck will you find me shopping on Black Friday – the only shopping day of the year where there is a body count! Especially if you dare challenge your life expectancy by heading over to Walmart! From what I have read and seen on the news it’s like the zombie apocalypse unleashed and they are all attacking each other over a toaster. I just don’t get the attraction of hitting an overcrowded store on the same exact day that almost the whole population of the country packs into it. Obnoxious and unruly people, long lines, aggravation, screaming kids, and the list goes on and on. Many times the store runs out of advertised inventory, and more so because most special sales items are in limited supply. That why you have these idiots camping out overnight outside on the sidewalk to make sure they get that blender, ugly sweater, or B-grade flat screen on sale! Woo Hoo! Then, be prepared to be assaulted by throngs of the undead as they push themselves past the doors at opening time. Fun stuff!

A spot of tea with Lipton K-Cups Review and Giveaway!

171168718353_1I love my coffee. I am a caffeine whore and not ashamed to admit it. Yet, I am not one of those coffee snobs that refuse to enjoy a spot of tea now and then. I am an equal opportunity caffeine jolt addict. I do like many types of teas, and there is nothing better than experiencing a high tea with your choice of scones, sandwiches, desserts, and assorted tea flavors. Mmmm……stick a pot of tea in front of me with some biscuits and clotted cream. Orgasmic bliss. A caffeinated food coma bliss, but happy nonetheless. That is why I wear sweatpants when hitting up a tea house. Don’t judge! Guys like me need room to breathe. Continue reading A spot of tea with Lipton K-Cups Review and Giveaway!
