In all my life I never really thought I would end up writing reviews of cupcakes, but after a few bites of bliss I had to change my underwear as the ensuing orgasm that followed after eating these moist cakes of aphrodisiac like substances made me want to actually write an erotic novel about them.
Hence, that is why I am now in front of my computer trying to write this review, and keep it short and on point, while still shuddering in the afterglow of these wonderful pastries. I also must not be the only one, since when I made a quick pit stop on the way home from work the other night the store was packed with other cupcake sex lovers at about ten minutes to closing. Yes, I said sex. These cupcakes reek of it. They command it. They want to beat you with it and make you cry out for more!
I had to get a box of four to sample a few different tastes. Each one is unique in it’s own way. Chocolate Marshmallow was like eating a devil dog with cream inside. Ginger Lemon was simply amazing and burst with flavor. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip was rich and full of peanut butter topping and chocolate chips. Red Velvet is a classic that is made better by the sugary delightful frosting. Even though it was late in the day each cupcake was super moist and we experienced no dryness at all. A bit pricey, yes, but worth it for the quality of what you get here. It’s just something you get once in a while as a special treat, or to bring home to your girl / guy as a surprise to eat off of each other bodies.
Wait – did I just say that out loud?
I also have to say that the staff here is saccharine sweet at this location. Very helpful and cheery. The store is on the small side but the decor is bright and has a cool design aspect to it. Plus, its right off the 59th and Lex subway stop so it’s easy access if you live on the east side. I’ll definitely have to stop in again soon to try out more of the different types of cupcakes offered here. Perfectly sized, flavorful, and moist. They got it right at Sprinkles.
Sex cupcakes for sure!

Sprinkles Cupcakes – http://www.sprinkles.com/
Oh you dirrent just write a review about fucking cupcakes, dude!!!!
I’m on a liquid diet this week.
No Fair.
I hate you.
*drool*
Hey Gillian!
Oh, yes I did! I went there! Oh yes!
So sorry to make your drool. Embrace the hate! 😉
I’ve jumped on the cupcake bandwagon recently and must say that if I’m ever in NYC I’ll be stopping by this place!
Hey Emily!
There are a bunch of places here that have jumped on the cupcake bandwagon! If ever in NYC I’ll give you a list! Thanks for reading! 🙂
I had a similar experience (if not as explicit as yours) when I went to Sprinkles. Did you know they’re opening up a Cupcake ATM across the street from the main store? That means cupcakes 24/7! Great review!
Hey Maggie!
I know. I saw the news on the cupcake ATM. That is just crazy! I better not be making a lot of withdrawals! Glad you liked my review!
I’ve had my share of unsexy cupcakes; the overpriced ones that look like they should taste like a million bucks, but fall short of the price tag they carry. I recently went to a popular bake shop to pick up treats for the family and bought some cupcakes. I bought myself a Nutella cupcake that didn’t taste like Nutella. Although the moist vanilla cupcake was good, the Nutella frosting just tasted like butter cream to me. But the next time I’m in the city, I might have to go looking for this place! It sounds like these cupcakes are worth it!
Hey Jessica!
I have had some of those limp cupcake experiences too. It’s so sad. At least there are many good ones here in NYC to get a fix when the craving calls!
Those cupcakes look so good! Gluten free ones are never as good 🙂
Hey Ann!
There are so many good cupcake spots here now, and some even do a tasty gluten free option!
I can hear that coconut one calling my name….loud and clear. Liiiissssaaa come hither.
Hey Lisa!
Whenever I walk by that place it screams at me to come in! They all call to me!
Obviously they know a Stud Muffin when they see one. I couldn’t resist that comment….lol
Hey Lisa!
Oh myyyyy! Loving the compliment! 😉
Whoa… Wait a second here. You’re going to tease me about knowing how to pleasure myself and you’re writing posts like this? Pot…meet kettle. As for the cupcakes…thankfully, I have a guy who just so happens to call me his wife that likes to make stuff like that. No need for us to spend the money. 😉
Hey Kitt!
I never said I was an innocent angel!
I’m sure you cook up some great stuff at home in the kitchen and in the bedroom! 😉
Some of us need to pay money for the good stuff!
In the process of planning a Royal Tour back home to NY for next summer/spring guess I’m adding this to the places we have to snack at huh!!!
Have to admit the Devil Dog cupcake had me getting all hot and a bothered LOL
Hey Lady Bren!
You can actually eat your way through this city and still never hit every place! It would take years!
Great! It’s early in the morning & I can’t sit still; dirty yet delicious cupcakes…yum! Love the story and once again, I’ve added another “must do” to my NY list. Thanks.
Hey Carica!
You know what has to happen, right? Cupcake lunch. Don’t even think about eating anything else!
Wow, no cupcake I ever taste is going to live up to this post!
Hey Kenya!
Then I guess my job is done here! 🙂
Believe it or not, there are some other places here in the city just as good!
I need a delivery of Sprinkles Cupcakes immediately.
Hey Jill!
I’ll have the magic cupcake fairy deliver a dozen to you asap!
I love cupcakes! So I’d love to try these. But when you say pricey, how pricey are you talking.
The peanut butter one sounds divine!
Hey PJ!
They are pretty good! Always worth trying. A bit pricey at $3.50 each but good for a seldom treat.
Phil,
I just found your blog through Lanthie’s Life Cherries. I have to agree with you on the Sprinkles! I live in Arlington, TX and it is just outside of Dallas, where there is a Sprinkles. For me, the Red Velvet brings on the big “O”….lol. I have tried other flavors, but they just don’t compare. I have also visited the one in Chicago. I look forward to following your blog!
Hey Julie!
Thanks so much for dropping by and commenting! Sorry for the late reply as I have been out on the road for work and playing catch up now.
Yeah, I really like their cupcakes. Some great flavors and the cake is moist too. There are so many great cupcake places here in NYC. Some more orgasmic than the other! 😉
So glad you will be following my blog. Lanthie is terrific. I’ll be following yours too! 🙂
