  1. Ah… Hilarious my dear Phil…. Great post here…

Yes, you are right ” give me your bank account number” is a classic one, and also adverstisements on Viagra & other psychiatric drugs that promise immediate & magical healing… You can also earn U$S 20 a day just watching a nonsense video… But of course you will have to send a check to paypal if you want to become rich in a week…

I guess… nothing is new under the same old sun, Phil… 😉

Well, I wish you a great friday & a happy weekend ahead; Have fun

    Aquileana 🙂

  2. I get loads of spam as well- like yours, they dont seem to makes sense. I could understand it if they were trying to convey an actual message or sell something but there is no sense to any of it.

  3. I love how a lot of spam email sounds like it was written by existential philosophers (well, foreign ones). I also frequently get an email from Facebook that asks me, “Do you know Coleen Patrick?”
Another big life question to ponder. 🙂
    Thanks for the laughs, Phil!

    1. Hey Coleen!

Ha! Facebook asks you if you know yourself? Maybe you should try to friend her and see what happens.

Glad you got a few laughs here! 🙂

  4. Too funny. Although I hate thinking I have a legitimate comment and end up with spam that’s mostly impossible to understand, I have to admit that I’ve also had quite a few laughs at some of the Spam I’ve gotten too.

  5. Haha Phil – you are great to show us the spam comments you get here! Over at my site, I get a lot of Chinese and Japanese lettering in the spam box. I wonder what it says…?!!

  6. I get spam every day in my email inbox but it seems like I’m getting more and more caught in my spam filter on my blog. And, thank god too because a good portion of them aren’t even in English!

  7. Brilliant post.
I’ve had three spam messages this week – all from ‘Adriana’ who wants me to click on a link at the bottom of the message – which I won’t because I refuse to be conned. It’s the same message I’ve been getting for years – word-for-typo-ridden-word! I wonder how long it will take or whoever is really sending it, pretending to be ‘Adriana’ to get the message that I’m not fooled and they take me off their spam list.

    1. Hey John!

Thanks so much! Yeah, I get many of the same spam messages over and over. I still laugh at some of them. Maybe Adriana has a thing for you.

  8. Ha,ha,ha. This was such a funny post. I’ve had a load of those messages, that I don’t go there anymore. I simply do not want to read messages that I can’t understand, lol.

    1. Hey Susana!

Glad you got a laugh! I can’t help myself. I still read them too. Heck, I make funny posts about them. It’s good joke material.

    1. Hi Julie!

Thanks so much for dropping by my blog and commenting!

So glad you liked my touch of craziness here. I think many spams are used over and over hoping someone replies.

Hope you sign up to follow my blog. I’ll check yours out too.

  9. Hey Phil, These are good, not sure what the purpose of these even since filters prevent them from publishing. I love the idea of posting the top zinger of the month as some Bloggers actually do. Its a good laugh. It reminded me I’ve not received any creatively funny ones of late, I’m definitely not missing them, however.

  10. I haven’t done one of these posts in a while, either. Always love fishing through to see what I can come up with. It’s really amazing what kind of crap gets sent in as comments!

    1. Hey PJ!

It amazes me what gets caught in my spam filter. Some I don’t even understand. Most have no direct real comments to my posts. Too funny.

    1. Hey Kenya!

Sounds like you might have some experience with astro-lube and bacon-glide! 😉

Glad you liked my snappy replies to these crazy messages!

  11. Funny stuff! With my spam blocker, I don’t see the spam that gets blocked. But what I’ve been getting recently, that is a PIA, are people that follow my blog who haven’t read it, won’t read it, and just click follow in the hopes that I’ll check out their site, only to see that they are looking for blogs to promote. Popped over from Susie’s party again.

    1. Hey Sue!

Thanks for dropping by and commenting! Glad you got a chuckle!

Once in a while I go through my spam filter to see how many goofy messages are in there. I delete most but some do make me laugh. I’ll be sure to check out your blog too. Susie is pretty cool.

  12. Fun stuff, Phil! Yet another reason I should post more frequently. I’d draw more spammers.

Besides the niggling concern that I sometimes have multiple comments here that link back to the same frigging blog post on my site. The blog linky-love. A blessing. A curse.

I recently got one on a post I did nearly a year ago title Butt, I Don’t Want Dimples! It was my brain gone scrambled in a post about use of used coffee grounds mixed with olive oil. One them applies said mixture to the aforementioned body part, wraps it in plastic wraps, and runs a ROLLING PIN over said dimpled derrière. So, yeah. After I found it on Google, I tried it. And, posted about it.

My spammer found this post “most interesting and thought-provoking.” <=== not their exact words because that's proper English.

    I think.

    1. Hey Gloria!

Hahaha! I get some of those same comments too. “Your blog is influential and helps me decipher the meanings that I perceive the attain. Allow me to sell you this fake Chanel handbag.”

I’m pretty sure your comments to me go back to different posts of yours. All good ones I’m sure! 🙂

    1. Hey Susie!

Glad you liked and got a good laugh!

We all get our share of spam! Some more tasty than others.

Denver was a blast. Drank way too much craft beer. Drying out now! 😉

  13. I got this one recently: “It is very interesting. The small symbol has a big history. It is being used for several purposes and now became very popular.”…Eh, WHAT symbol??

  14. OMG some of your spammers are mean! I only get the ones telling me how wonderful I am.
A recent example: “My brother advised We would maybe like that web-site. He was altogether correct. The following distribute genuinely designed my morning. You can not consider merely the way a lot period I had put together invested with this details! Thank you so much!”
    (I’m brilliant.)

  15. Yes..yes..yes! The spam is out of control. The bank account dude needs to really call it quits. I am now starting to get spam, from “females” requesting to meet me because they are so blown away by me & my online presence. I just got one today from “Lachelle Lusby”. Aren’t I a lucky girl!

  16. I am sitting here laughing out LOUD!!! OMG–this is absolutely hilarious. I get these crazy comments too and they are from people who don’t write well in English, I guess?? No matter, this is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read. And your comments are funnier than the spam!

    1. Hey Tracy!

Aw shucks! Thanks – glad you got some big time laughs! 🙂

Spam is great material for a post because some of them are so out there! We all get them.

  17. Bahaha! I really don’t understand spam. Are real people behind it? Sometimes imagine kids in another country trying to practice their English. How about trolls? I once had someone who would not stop sending me comments about the benefits of meat and when I wouldn’t respond or post he just send more comments about how he liked my blog and why wouldn’t I post his comments and links I would not click. Weird.

    1. Hey Holly!

I normally get all the weird spam in different languages or the goofy ones I put on this post to goof on. Some has to be computer automated. Maybe some is real.

Yet, I love my blog stalkers, but have not had many trolls yet.

      Glad you liked! 🙂

  18. John! I know Adriana too! She sends me the same email to my one addy at least 5 times a week.

Posting about spam. What a great idea. I don’t get much on my blogger blog, but my WordPress blog is a spam magnet. I have filters etc, and I hand put in all the alternates for this one guy. He spammed me after all my blocks to say, “F–k You!”

My best one lately is this:
“Other engage in alert is positioned the bomb. Used to better at the, quite possibly being successful one or two roadmaps. However, my best success produced out there so i been for a while obtaining slaughtered non-stop within the next spherical. … etc”

I have no clue what he was trying to sell me. An atom bomb maybe? A vacation package to a slaughter house? I just don’t know….

    1. Hey Cindy!

LOL! I think we all get the same variations of the same spam comments. I use WordPress too and good thing for my spam filter! Some of these do make for a fun post though!

Hahaha! That post is crazy. I get those too and wonder who actually writes these things, and what does it have to do with my blog post? Too funny, and weird.

  19. All that spam is so funny. But there are many bloggers out there who don’t realise that they have spam. Some bloggers have actually replied to the spam comment as if it were a genuine comment. I saw this blog with about 50 plus spams which they replied to, I couldn’t believe it.
The spammers are getting a little more sophisticated now because they are adding your blog name right in the middle of the message, to make it look more genuine but when you read it, it has nothing to do with your post. Just delete, delete and delete.

Thank goodness my filter manages to get most of them though, although every now and again the odd one gets through.

    1. Hey Rum Punch!

You have to laugh at some of it. I can’t believe some people get fooled by it. Good thing my spam filter catches them. Delete!

Still, I keep a few around for gag posts like this. Some are just too funny and weird to me that I have to use them. Also, I am getting those that use my blog name or post titles too. It’s nuts.

  20. I hopped on over from Susie L.’s party. Thanks–I needed a good laugh. I guess I should be grateful to WordPress for automatically catching so much spam. On the other hand, I am obviously missing a great deal of fun by not delving into the spam box more often.

    1. Hey Audrey!

Thanks for dropping by and commenting! Susie throws a great party.

Glad you got a laugh from my goofiness!

My WordPress spam filter does a great job of catching all the spam weirdness. Check yours out once a week to see whats in there and delete them. Sometimes real comments get trapped in there too. I save a few to make posts like this.

Hope you sign up to follow my blog. I’ll check yours out too. 🙂

  21. Hey! I thought those spammers were really in love with MEEEEE!! You mean they love you toooo????? {head in hand} gawd this is a sad sad day…..

    1. Hey Gail!

Aw, don’t be upset. There is enough spam to go around.

They love me! They really really love me! (hands me the Oscar and the tears flow) 😉

  22. I’m so disappointed to hear that you’re not the overall blog article playwright, staff. *Sniff sniff*

I think we all need to take this wise feedback that we receive seriously because clearly we have a lot to learn.

Feel free to comment! We all have opinions!
