In-N-Out Animal Style Food Porn in Vegas, baby!

l (3)

I know this is not NYC related, but I was just handed my hotel reservations for the next biz trip I have coming up in June. Vegas baby! The land of neon lights, gambling, drinking, gluttony, cheesiness, debauchery, and kitschy craziness! Vegas, as I have said in the past, you’re a dirty ho but I love you so. I am already thinking about where to make dinner reservations, and already I am craving this one thing that I had my last time in Sin City.

My inner Fattasaurous won out and dragged me to In-N-Out Burger pretty much as soon as I touched down in Vegas the last time I was there in April!

After a few months of hard dieting and working out I needed this indulgence. Nay, I wanted this. I had to have it. The lusty beast within would not be denied this feast.

l (2)So easy to get to by cab as it is close to The Strip and they are pretty much running back and forth there every few minutes. Quick ride from Bally’s and it was easy to grab one back as they are constantly dropping off in the parking lot. Even late at night it was bustling. I took my place on line and stared lustily at the “food porn” that kept passing me by in the hands of overjoyed burger lovers picking up their orders.

With a name like In-N-Out you just know that “porn” and anything “food porn” joke related is a natural fit for this place. So much mouth watering porn here…..

Protein style Double Double, Animal Style Fries, Neopolitan Shake. Hellz yeah!

l (4)I sat down at a table with my feast and engorged my fat ass to my heart’s delight! Yes, the guilt and dread after eating this made me hit the gym in the morning to burn off all the fatty calories. I even went for a run that night after the convention I attended was over and my feet were barking. Didn’t matter, had sex, uh, I mean had burger. Animal Style fries are so worth the extra gut busting calories. Leave your shame at the door and just go balls deep!

Is it overhyped? Sure is, and it’s not as good as many claim, but pretty damn tasty as far as fast food goes. It’s like a West Coast vs East Coast thing. Shake Shack in NYC is a better tasting burger to me. Still, you go for the freshly made food here and the ability to order off the “not so secret menu” which is part of the fun novelty of In-N-Out. That, and the diverse crowd that populates this place. The locals, tourists, and wackos alike make for some fun people watching in Vegas baby!

Come June I’ll be making food porn once again and squirting that money shot “not so secret” sauce on my fries “Animal Style”!

My Precious!!!

Compared to some of the other crap around here, I’d take In-N-Out over a majority of places here in Vegas. Downside for me is that the nearest one to my home is in an area where there’s a crap ton of traffic and a Walmart filled with idiots. I usually go to the one right across the street from the UNLV campus. I hang out in Greenspun Hall most of the time and that’s on the corner opposite In-N-Out so it works perfectly for me.

Now, pass me that damn double double. I’m hungry!

Ha! I In-N-Out every time I leave LAX. There’s just something so… so… good about being so bad.

  3. I have never tried In-N-Out but those fries—that is just a wonderful thing to behold!! I recently discovered Five Guys and they do a decent burger but I only get to go when I get down to Tampa every couple of months, so it is a treat. I had been a few times then I took my son! Now that’s the only place he wants to go when we go down to see his doctor. Thanks as always for making my tummy growl even if I just ate!!

  5. My husband love that kind of stuff. He would be all over this place. Me not so much, I’m just not a burger and smothered fries sort of girl.

I’d better not show him this food porn, he might make a mess! :-D

Alas, something that I can actually indulge in on the West Coast! My Christmas Eve tradition is to take my mom to In-&-Out for dinner before driving around to look at Christmas lights. Enjoy that Double Double come June, Phil!

  8. See, this is why I’m a vegetarian. That burger looks so freakin’ good, I would be eating one every day! Not that I’m above just ordering fries and a shake…I’ve never been to this fine establishment (I’ve spent a lot of time in Vegas and on the west coast, so not sure how I missed it!) but clearly I now have a food porn goal.

Also, I hope you don’t mind if I use “My Inner Fatasaurous” as the name for my next book, or even just a new Twitter handle…

  9. A very seductive pic of you with your…In-N Out! LOL. What can I say? Burgers…complete me.

I’ve been to Five Guys Burgers around here and it’s pretty good. Is In-N-Out better?

Holy cow, I just LOOKED at those fries and got indigestion. I’d need a bib, elastic pants and antacid tablets to eat that.

I’ve never been to Vegas but if I do make it there one day, I’ll be sure to stop in, if only to ogle the clients while they eat.

Dallas recently became a home for In-n-Out Burger, and I gotta say…I’m not that big of a fan. I ate there with my brother in San Diego a few years ago, and I couldn’t get over the sign on the patio that said, “Do Not Feed The Birds For Health Purposes,” and thought it they should have continued with “but by all means, ingest this toxic shit into your own body.” It’s good, but I’m with you. A little over-hyped. In other news, you look good eating it. You should be their poster child.

If you’re ever in Texas and want a delicious greasy fast food burger, you must try Whataburger. Yum! But also toxic shit.

  13. Well this is the definition of “food porn”! Lol! I have never been, but lately everywhere I turn someone else is waxing poetically about these burgers so maybe the universe is trying to tell me something! Thanks!

I haven’t had In-and-Out for a few years and a Shake Shack opened last fall right outside of Boston which I’ve been loving. Shake Shack is amazing! But I was sad I didn’t make it to In-and-Out when I was in Vegas. Just an excuse to go back!

I love In-N-Out! When I was in LA, I ate there all the time. I haven’t tried the Vegas branch yet, as it’s a bit off the Strip, but judging from your pictures, those burgers sure look up to standard:)

  19. Well, the pic of those fries is truly horrifying, but no one can scold (or blame!) you, seeing as you went for a run AND hit the gym. Way to have your cake and eat it too, Phil!
