Holy crap what is going on with this weather in NYC? I’m gonna freeze my nuts off tomorrow running outside in the Cupid’s Undie Run! It’s for a great cause so kids with Neurofibromatosis (NF), also known as children’s tumors, can grow up happy and healthy. Worth a bit of shrinkage and hard perky nipples wouldn’t you agree?
Yeah, I’m basically gonna be freezing my man-buns off as I strip down to my underpants to be a part of the Cupid’s Undie Run in the cold on February 13th in NYC along with many others contributing to this children’s cause. So here I am getting talked into doing this after running Warrior Dashes and Tough Mudders. In my undies. In the dead of Winter. At least there will be no obstacles this time. Just some extremely cold air that has invaded the NYC area which would make a polar bear pack up and move to Florida. I think I can handle that. Just have to get through a 1.5 mile run and hit the bar with all my fellow runners and teammates afterwards. Hot toddies please! (I might pour one down my underwear after this run!)
This is the last chance to donate to such a worthwhile cause, and it’s for the kids! Any amount is so appreciated. Link to my charity page –

Look, all the talk about shrinkage is real. I need to keep my junk warm so I will have some layers and stuffing going on down there. No one wants a frostbitten hotdog and coconuts! Ouch!

Here’s just a few facts about NF and the Children’s Tumor Foundation –
NF is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body, causing blindness, deafness, learning disabilities and severe chronic pain.
- The Children’s Tumor Foundation is the world’s largest non-government organization dedicated to ending Neurofibromatosis (NF) through research. Currently, there is no cure for NF and there are frighteningly few treatment options. The Children’s Tumor Foundation is a Charity Navigator 4-Star charity that prides itself on efficiency, spending 82.4% of its revenue on program expenses and less than 8% on administrative costs.
- NF affects roughly 1:3,000 births in the U.S. and is in desperate need of new discovery, so we’re on a mission to #EndNF and all proceeds benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation.
- The Foundation’s mission is to advance peer-reviewed research to develop treatments and cures for NF; support persons with NF and their families by making thorough and accurate information readily available; to assist in developing clinical centers and best practices to improve access to quality healthcare for those who live with NF; and expand public awareness of NF to improve diagnoses, increase understanding of the challenges that NF presents, and encourage support for NF research.
- You already know we run to raise money for CTF and kick NF in the butt. But why do we run with our butts out? It’s simple. We run in our undies because people with NF can’t cover up their tumors. They can’t put clothes on to feel more comfortable, so why should we?
Last year over $3.5 million was raised in cities across the country by those running for the cause. Hopefully, we can exceed that number. Once again, I am asking you all out there to help me with my charity run. Even a little bit helps, and every dollar will be greatly appreciated! $5, $10, or whatever you can afford. It should be a fun day as I’ll be joined by many others, and alongside my teammates all together for this terrific charity event. All running in sub-arctic like temperatures. Freezing our goodies off. I just have to keep telling myself it’s all for a good cause, and some hilarity too! (Yes, I will be nipping from a flask filled with whiskey along the way! Need to stay warm inside! )

Good Luck on the Big Day for a Great Cause Phil!
Hey Peggy!
Thanks so much! It was frigid outside but I was so full of Jamesons I felt no pain!
Phil, give yourself a break and put your undies on over your longjohns!!!! I posted your donation page on FB ~ hope you make that worthwhile goal!
Hey Patricia!
Thanks so much for the support! No long johns. Just some red boxers with little hearts on them and a red robe. I’m not totally crazy!
That is awesome! Have a great race 🙂
Hey Jeri!
Thanks! It was a fun day and all for charity! So much colder out the next day so we missed a bullet!
Have a great race, Phil!!
Hey Coleen!
Thanks. It was a bit chilly out there but we all went out and ran it. What’s a little pain for a good cause!
Look, I’m as charitable as the next gal but OMG! Phil!!! WTH???? Honestly, it’s going to be dangerously cold today! The kind of weather where no skin must be left exposed to the elements or it will fall off, kind of weather! I am surprised they did not cancel the event. Now I’ll be worried about you all day.
Hey Brickhouse!
Actually, it felt refreshing! Yes, I am a bit nuts. Good thing for whiskey and an open bar!
You are good man. I’ve seen the forecast.
Hey Shelley!
Thanks for the love. Heck, the next day was colder at 0 degrees in the morning!
A trick to stay warm? Vaseline. Looks like a blast! I don’t suppose you have a place to carry a camera….
Hey Susie!
I had a big red fuzzy robe on that I earned from all the donations. You all helped me keep warm!
You are out of your mind, but I respect what you are doing. Glad I gave when you first started this campaign as if I hadn’t until now, I’d be wondering how to send warmth instead of cash! Hope you make it through the race and major kudos for raising money for a great cause.
Hey PJ!
Yes, I am a bit warped aren’t I? Thanks to your support and many others me and my team raised over $7000 for a great cause! Worth it for a few minutes of frigid nipples and junk!
I was in your fair freezing city last weekend to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. It was bad enough running from the restaurant to the theater fully dressed in heels. I literally did run while dragging my husband in tow. Despite the frigid temperature we had a blast! NYC never disappoints!
Hope your nuts have recovered…Jesus..I’m shivering just thinking about it!
Hi Lisa!
Happy Anniversary! Yeah it was frigid on this weekend but at least it didn’t snow!
Sounds like you both had a great time. Yeah, my nuts have finally warmed up!
