Female Focused “Liberty Prime” Steakhouse
Opens In Jersey City
Presenting Steak in its Rarest Form: Fashionably
Grand Opening Monday October 14th: A new kind of Steakhouse comes to Jersey City.
Liberty Prime Steakhouse will be located at 111 Montgomery Street, in the heart of downtown Jersey City, within walking distance from the Grove Street & Exchange Place PATH station and just minutes from Hoboken and New York City.
A little background about the owner – George Makrogiannis has been a restaurant owner for years, and has always had a vision of bringing his own steakhouse to Jersey City. He has joined forces with the famous Moran’s restaurant in Manhattan and the Davenport group to launch Liberty Prime and make his dream a reality. His familiarity and expertise in the restaurant business makes him extremely selective, choosing only the best quality cuts of steaks in the metropolitan area. The opening of Liberty Prime is a tribute to George’s hard work and dedication, as well as to his passion for the restaurant business. Like every great steakhouse, Liberty Prime makes quality meat its priority, but unlike every other steakhouse, they also pride themselves on their female friendly focus.
Traditionally, steakhouses focus on a predominantly male audience, which is where Liberty Prime diverges from the norm, creating a menu and atmosphere that is female friendly, without losing sight of the traditional steakhouse experience. George explains, “We want to cater to women with our specialized menu items, as well as anyone else who enjoys a good steak. We cater to steak-loving women in the same way we cater to steak-loving men, we give everyone the options they expect.” Liberty Prime’s menu will be themed “Rare Fashion,” featuring female friendly dishes, such as the “Tropical Mini Skirt Steak” and the “Rare Style”, a 16oz Filet Mignon with a 4oz Lobster Tail and a lemon butter sauce, to name just a few. Dozens of dishes have been created specifically with the modern woman in mind, all perfectly sized portions. Of course, there will also be more traditional, larger cuts of meat available for larger appetites. Pair your meal with one of the signature cocktails or wines, or if you are just looking for a light snack and drinks, be sure to visit Prime Time, Liberty Prime’s Bar just next door. Prime Time will have a similar focus, offering a full bar with signature cocktails, like the “Couture Cosmo,” and a Light Bite bar menu.
“The belief is that steak and steakhouses can be fashionable in the same way that other foods and restaurants can,” George explains. This sense of fashion is reflected through the décor as well as the menu. The contemporary and lustrous interior of Liberty Prime consists of one room for smaller, more intimate parties, with a larger main room for bigger groups. High ceilings in the main dining room create a comfortable space, with modern décor creating a sexy and sleek ambiance. The color and material palette runs from “Liberty Prime Red” to a creamy white.
Head Chef Jose Luis Zarate incorporates the most unique flavors into the menu, especially the steak, using only the freshest, local produce. George explains, “I have local meat providers, who go to the market each morning to hand select the best cuts, same with the produce. I like to support the local market, and I like things to be fresh.” If you aren’t in the mood for an entire meal, there will be sample plates available, and happy hour from 3-7 Monday through Friday, featuring our signature cocktails and extensive wine list.
To show our dedication to women everywhere, Liberty Prime will be partnering with The National Breast Cancer Foundation from 6PM until 11PM on Sunday October 13th. Join us for a preview of our delicious menu, and a celebration of our most beloved customers: Women. Liberty Prime Steakhouse will donate 20% of all profits to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
